The Pepperl+Fuchs SJ3,5-N is a high-performance inductive slot proximity sensor designed for precision industrial automation and intrinsically safe environments. Featuring a 3.5 mm slot width and a normally closed (NC) NAMUR output, the sensor reliably detects metal targets such as flags or gear teeth passing through the gap. Encased in a rugged PBT housing, it provides IP67-rated protection against dust and water ingress, ensuring longevity in harsh industrial conditions. The device operates optimally at a nominal 8.2 VDC, supports a broad 5 to 25 V operating range, and delivers an exceptionally high switching frequency of up to 3000 Hz for high-speed dynamic tracking. Functionally verified up to SIL 2 per IEC 61508, the SJ3.5-N guarantees critical safety reliability.
