The SICK UFS3-37B417 is a high-performance ultrasonic fork sensor designed for demanding label detection tasks where optical sensors typically fail. Thanks to its advanced ultrasonic technology, the UFS3 reliably detects a vast range of labels, including transparent, metallic, and high-gloss materials on a variety of carrier liners. Its compact housing features an exceptionally slim lower flange of just 5.5 mm, allowing for space-saving installation directly at the dispensing edge to minimize web flutter and improve accuracy.
Equipped with a fast 1.1 kHz switching frequency and a response time of 440 µs, it ensures high-speed processing in high-output labeling machines. The sensor is remarkably user-friendly, featuring a 1-point, 2-point, and dynamic teach-in process via a physical button or IO-Link. The integrated IO-Link interface enables remote configuration and provides real-time diagnostic data, such as teach-in quality and operating reserve. Encased in a rugged IP65-rated Zamak and plastic housing, the UFS3-37B417 is built to withstand industrial environments while delivering consistent, high-precision performance for modern packaging and production lines.
