A slight displacement or tilting of the sensor module in the camera causes an image deviation from the ideally specified Field of View of the camera. This error has to be taken into account if necessary.
The cameras, especially the sensor modules, have a maximum variation in tilt plus offset with respect to the camera housing of 5 degrees when compared to each other.
The following images show the maximum spatial deviation of an unchanged positioned recorded scene (optical target) to the sensor center. The XS housing serves as a mechanical reference plane.
In applications where the positioning accuracy of the sensor is important, the camera has to be calibrated accordingly.
